My Summer Diary
8.9.02 Holy Heck, an update! I've been busy. I think I'm starting a business: undergroundbookclub. It's a free online classifieds. Look at the link to the right. School is starting soon again. I've been looking into the masters program at Carnegie Mellon in Robotics. I think I have a research project I actually wanna work on. Autonomous Robotics: Object Retrieval in a Confined, Quasi- Structured Environment. Long name, I know. What else? I started writing a sci-fi/horror opus about a the history of a ficitional alien species. Oh, I'm having a poem published: Erie, A Poem
the sherbet orange night sky mocks me as i walk down the glass strewn sidewalk disenfranchised with my life i ache to leave yet am too poor to quit and go home where the stars are sprinkled like powdered sugar on a stealth black sky
The poem is copywrited in my name. Um, I entered it into a contest, do you think it's worth a thousand dollars? So, in summary, I seem to be slowly taking over the world. Salute!
6.18.02 Okay, so I updated the site a bit, I actually put June's listing on the Rad-O-Meter, um, I changed the sides bars to 'lightcoral', I think that they look pink, but now you can see the writing better. For the past few days I've been programming like crazy. I've been going all out with Java. Um, click here and tell me how things work out for you. Email me at jhask00@hotmail.com and tell me what you see. What else, Jen is coming to see me. I'm excited! I found a fun quote (it's from Disney's The Kid).
Bruce Willis: "I want rotweillers! Big, scary rotweillers. I want the guy who trains the rotweillers to be afraid to come over here. I want a moat, ... with lava!" Secretary: "You want trolls with that? Evil ones?"
Okay, that's all have to write about today. :)
6.11.02 I just realized I don't feel like doing anything else w/ this site tonight, so scratch that part about updating stuff
6.11.02 Hello again. I've been a little busy the past couple of weeks. I've read about 12 books and helped my dad spread 42,000 lbs of grade 1B limestone gravel around the driveway. The books were good. Monday, I was 1968 ft above sea level. Um, I updated the RAD-O-METER and posted a story. Oh yeah, I don't think I said it anywhere else on this site, but everything herre, except those annoying tripod ads, is copyright 2002, All Rights Reserved.
5.20.02 Sorry I haven't updated recently, but Tripod was acting dumb. Anyways, Saturday was one of the best days I've ever had. I woke up at 3:30 in the morning to go turkey hunting, but it was raining, so Dad ad I decided to go back to sleep for a few hours and see what the weather was like later in the morning. When we woke back up, it was snowing. Snowing on May 18! We decided to go out hunting. It was so cool! There was about three inches of snow on the ridge tops. We ended up walking about 9 miles and didn't see a turkey until we were done hunting, but that's okay. That after noon, we took apart the dryer because the belt had broken, and that was pretty neat. Then, saturday night the family went to see Attack of the Clones, which was really cool. Yoda fights in it! So, yeah, summer break is going good for me so far. Bye for now.
5.12.02 Well, I'm home from college (finally!!), and mostly unpacked. I'm working on this site to get it re-vamped and interesting so that if any of you guys want to check out on how I'm doing, you can just swing by here. Tonight, my family and I watched K-PAX. It's cool, check it out. Well, as of right now, it doesn't look like we're ever going to get cable TV. My house is at the end of the power line, and Adlephia's people said that they won't ever re-coup the cost of hooking us up, so, they aren't going to. My Dad wrote a letter to the owners of Adelphia. If that doesn't work, we're getting a dish! That's about it for now. Take it easy.
